Comedian and author David Walliams parted ways with book publisher.
Prolific young adult author and entertainer David Walliams has parted ways with his longtime publishing house, as confirmed by the firm.
An official for the company said: "After careful consideration, and with the guidance of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing additional books by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the decision was made after an investigation into allegations of questionable actions involving women.
The publisher has not elaborated on the specific rationale behind the move, adding: "We do not comment on private personnel issues."
An Illustrious Publishing History
Walliams is one of the UK's most best-selling authors for kids, boasting over more than 60 million copies globally in dozens of tongues.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
Several of his works, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into small-screen adaptations.
He has published more than 40 books combined, which features a holiday title called *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins in October.
A Dual Career
His initial claim to fame came on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE several years ago for his services to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
The publisher's decision comes after the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO in October.
