Reports indicate that fan-favorite actors Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson will reprise their iconic roles in the newest chapter of the Hunger Games film series, titled The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping. The film is currently in production.
A Major Comeback for the Franchise
The actors are slated to play Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark, the characters they made famous. Speculation suggests their appearance will take the form of a future-set scene, given that the main film series concluded with their characters married and with children.

Sunrise on the Reaping draws its story from a recent book by author Suzanne Collins. It serves as the second film set before the original story after 2023's The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes. Once again is Francis Lawrence, who directed most of the previous films in the series.
