Jet Carrying Pete Hegseth Required to Land in UK Due to Fracture in Windshield
An aircraft carrying Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was required to make an unscheduled landing in the UK on Wednesday after a crack was discovered in the aircraft's cockpit window, according to an announcement which stated that Hegseth was safe.
"The aircraft touched down in accordance with standard protocol and everyone onboard, among them Defense Secretary Hegseth, is secure," a press officer commented in a social media post.
The secretary was coming back from a short visit to the Belgian capital at the time.
This incident isn't the initial instance that a American defense plane transporting a top government figure has experienced technical problems.
Earlier this year, a American military jet carrying Marco Rubio to Munich was compelled to return to Washington after encountering a technical issue.
